iPhone 4’s Reception Issue?

The much awaited iPhone 4 is now in the hands of millions of users, Apple Newest smartphone also the world's thinnest smartphone is now surrounded by critical issues regarding the reception of the wireless signals.

Even steve jobs responded to the situation stating that the user of the phone shouldn't hold the phone wrongly, instead buy a case. Another critical issue is about the latest retina display technology which is first arrived in iPhone, giving the user better viewing experience than any other phone in the market. The problem in the display is many users have reported that there is a yellow discoloration which seems to be the biggest among the two issues right now.

How could the manufacturer of the phone miss such big problems ? that too the company which is highly reputed and obsessive with the quality of the its products.

Another opinion from spencer webb, an antenna designer. Here’s what he says:

“The iPhone 4 has two symmetrical slots in the stainless frame. If you short these slots, or cover them with your hand, the antenna performance will suffer … There is no way around this, it’s a design compromise that is forced by the requirements of the FCC, AT&T, Apple’s marketing department and Apple’s industrial designers, to name a few.”

If this is the case, then Apple knew about the issue long ago, but decided that it was an acceptable trade-off. We’d agree, but we want to know the most common ways the typical user holds his or her phone first.

My very first question to all the iPhone 4 users is With the issues mounting high, What do you expect from apple as of now ?
