Samsung Galaxy Beam

The Samsung i8520 also known as Galaxy beam was officially launched in Singapore on 17th July. The main feature of this phone is a built in WVGA projector which can project upto 50 inches. The projector can be along the camera which directly projects the stuff in front of the camera .

The galaxy beam weighs 155 grams and measuring 123mm x 59.8mm x 14.9mm is powered by Android 2.1 OS, a 1800mAh battery, a 3.7-inch WVGA (480 x 800) Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen,8 megapixel camera, WI-FI, Blue tooth 3.0, and HSDPA 7.2 Mbps.



The camera of the Galaxy beam is also able to record HD video at a resolution of 720p at 30fps. The phone also offers local Wi-Fi connectivity, e-mail, web browsing, as well as containing a built in GPS along with the following features

  • 8 megapixels (3264×2448)

  • autofocus

  • image stabiliser

  • video(720p@30fps)

  • LED flash

  • camera geo-tagging

  • auto-panorama shot, face, smile and blink detection


The phone also has a 16GB of storage space, which is upgradable via a microSD card slot.
