The Fourth and the final Platform Preview of Internet Explorer 9 has been released by Microsoft exclusive for developers on August 4th, this update will act as a base for the September beta release. Coming to the update, the Preview features native JavaScript integration and fully hardware-accelerated HTML5 support including several other features as well.
The preview of IE9 was held at MIX 2010 in Las Vegas, since then Microsoft has been releasing platform previews regularly and according to Microsoft, it is downloaded more than 2.5 million times.
Internet Explorer has been up to the mark with several competitors like Mozilla Firefox and chrome. the Net Application estimated the following share.
- Internet Explorer 60.74
- Firefox 22.91
- Chrome 7.16
- Safari 5.09
- Opera 2.45
Internet explorer is optimized with several security setting and privacy settings, which is also an important addition.
