Facebook : No.1 Social Networking choice for Indians

India is now the seventh largest social Networking market in the world, almost 85% of the Indian internet population now accessing social networks.

Twitter, which also saw the highest growth rate of any social network in India, but Orkut was ruling since a long time as the most preferable social networking option for the Indian users, when people started switching to Facebook, I don’t think they could get this type of luxury and interactivity on orkut. As a result, Facebook is now the most popular social network in India, according to the comscore figures show that Facebook has grown by 179% in the past year, and boosted 20.9 million visitors in July. while the orkut saw its users increase by 16% since July 2009.

As far I think, Facebook is most obvious choice since it provides a clean and better User Interface, with the suitable options and regular upgrades of new features, since its a choice of 500 million users across the globe, the thing should be far better than the others.
